We're back!

Next few days, I'll be posting pictures of Nell enjoying her first trip to North Carolina!

This is Nell at the Dulles International Airport. We were so worried about the parking and the long lines for the security, we got there super early... It turned out there were plenty of parking, no lines for check in and took only 10 minutes to clear the security line. So I knitted while Nell checked out other people at the airport. She was VERY well behaved!

All packed and ready to go...

This will be Nell's first holiday with us. Petey is at Aunt Mary's and Nell is getting her bag packed with stuffed animals and a blanket. She's not accustomed to the sharpa bag, so I've been having her get in the bag and giving her treats. She has no idea what's coming up tomorrow...

Petey's new sweater

Petey's skinny and old that he's been having a hard time keeping warm. I've seen him shiver several times, and I just couldn't stand it, so I got him a nice sweater. I think he likes it. He has that "distinguished" look.

Keeping Warm

It's gotten little bit colder in the last few days. Petey is pretty skinny, so he gets cold a lot. I did a load of laundry and decided I would wrap up Petey and Nell. They didn't mind. They love the fresh laundered blankets and towels. Don't they look comfey?

Nell's psudo scarf...

My friend and I just started taking a knitting class last Sunday and we just completed the patch... This was the practice before the scarf project. Since it's not anything I can use, I tied it around Nell's neck and made it psudo scarf. Needless to say, it's little odd looking. :-) But she looks LOVELY in the carolina blue!

Nell's New Jacket

It's starting to get little cold... Fall is finally here and I'm starting to not liking the morning and the evening walk. Petey is shivering by the time we get back inside. He doesn't like the cold. Well, I figured since the holidays are coming, and Nell needed a jacket, I bought her a snowman holiday jacket. She's so cute. Petey's sweater is on its way. It was too small for him, so I had to send it back. Poor guy... He does have a yellow jacket tho...

Favorite Saturday activity...

For the past few weekends, the weather has been wonderful. Of course, Nell and Petey had to take full advantages of sunbathing. My bedroom gets the best sun... I'm sure they could have stayed there for hours... if the nemesis vacuum cleaner didn't come out...

November BT Meetup - Reston, VA

We had an awesome time at the BT Meetup in Reston, VA. We had our post-Halloween party... all the other dogs had cute costumes on... so did Nell and Petey. My favorite was the Egor! Nell is starting to get along with all the other BTs, but Petey stuck around the snack tables for the humans. I'm sure he got a lot of treats this time. :-)

My Target Purchases....

I had some gift certificates from Target that I wanted to use for Petey's doggie bed since I didn't want him on the couch. Usually, our area's Target isn't pet friendly, but amazingly tonight, I found some stuff that was very affordable, and I didn't have to dig too far. I've always said that our Target's buyer doesn't own a dog since the pet section is always not stocked to full potential... but tonight, I take it back. I got the green doggie bed (which Nell hijacked), Petey's collar, and 4 plush stuffed animal all for under $30... pretty good huh?

Supersize Me!

Nell's obsession has morphed into 2 L bottles... Instead of buying a 12 pack of sodas, I've decided to get 2L bottles. They're a lot cheaper... and I never finish the can of soda at one sitting anyway. Of course any time there is an empty bottle in my household, Nell's ears are pointed up, but 2 L bottle makes her eyes look like it's going to pop out any minute. If only she felt the same way about her food...

All dressed up, but no visitors...

Well, Nell was all dressed up waiting for little kids to knock on the door... but they never came. Our neighborhood has handful of kids, but they must have chosen to visit other neighborhoods. So... a day after halloween... we have a full bucket of good treats left... If Nell and Petey could dig in... they'd be in heaven.
