How was your Christmas?

We are back! Nell survived her illness scare, road trip to NC, a trip to grandmother's house, lake house, and a long road trip back to Alexandria, VA and is now taking a long needed nap. We had a great time visiting my BF's family for Christmas. I think Nell is finally getting used to her cousin, Suede. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I can't believe new year is about to start...

To all of Nell's fans... I wish you a prosperous and joyful 2006!

Did I mention today is Nell's birthday? She is 2!

Happy birthday to you

Nell is OK

I just called the vet and she said I can come and pick her up any time. She will be on bland diet for awhile, but she doesn't see any need for changing her diet. Good news!!!!

Diagnosis: Pancretitis

The vet called at 5:30 am and told me that there was no blockage and no foreign object in her tummy. She does have elevated enzyme and she thinks it' pancretitis. Everything eles, I can't remember because although I was VERY concerned about Nell... I just can't remember. They are going to feed her this morning to make sure she doesn't vomit any more. If she doesn't, she'll be able to come home tonight... if she does vomit, they'll do an ultra-sound and figure out what else is going on.

Nell's Snuggle Sack

Nell received an early christmas present... Snuggle Sack (shout out to Snuggle Sacks by Sherrie). She hasn't quite figured out how to go into the sack by herself... so I have to stuff her in there, but once she's in there, she's sound asleep. I've been having her sleep in it at night, and I don't feel like she hogs the bed anymore. Yeay!!! If your dog likes to burrow... visit Sherrie's site.

Snow Day...

Well, we got another 2 inches on Friday... It was icy in the morning, so I decided to take a snow day. Just because it's a snow day doesn't mean Nell and Petey doesn't have to go out... If only I taught them to go on the pee pad...

Here's Nell: "Mom... it's too cold to put all 4 of my paws down... can we go in?"

Christmas Village and me...

Nell did quite well at Grandmother's house. We brought out the Christmas Village and she was not at all interested in smelling the houses or the people. She did pose for the pictures. She's such a good model.

One of my favorite picture

When we visited my BF's grandmother's house, I knew I had to take a picture of Nell with the BT statue. I know the lighting isn't the best, but I still love it. Nell looks sooo gentle with the statue. Am I crazy?

Nemesis #3 - Pet Carrier

Nell had her first experience in the pet carrier... although for practice, I would place her in the pet carrier from time to time, this was the first time she was taken out of the house with it. Poor Nell... her whites of the eyes were showing every time I looked in the bag. But she did very well, as I expected.
