This is a picture from our road trip back to our home during the Christmas break... I've never seen Nell pant except for hot days. We were so worried there was something wrong, but after pulling over, walking around, it all stopped. Weird Nell...

Poor Nell. I just finished making the beanie and I needed a model... As you can tell, Nell has the look of "I am a victim". Blue looks good on you Nell! This is my first beanie, so the top didn't come out clean as I had hoped, but it's pretty good. If only Nell knew my ultimate goal is to make her a sweater... hahahaha

Snuggle Up!

Burrr.... it's been cold over her for the last few days... Nell doesn't do well in the cold. Poor thing... I see Petey and Nell shaking sometimes... Pretty soon, I'm going to have to buy her a sweater. ;-) Until then... Snuggle sack will do.

Busted!

Nell must have been in one of those destructive moods last night... I walked away for a second and bam... she has mouthful of lion hair... She better not have swallowed any... Hacking up hairball would be a scary scene to see!

Donut Thief...

Petey is a donut thief... But somehow, Nell and Petey planned this before it happened. Nell has been eating from a bowl that is on top of a box because of possible acid reflux... well, conveniently, she flipped her bowl today so while I was enjoying my "fat pill", I hear the clink... I walk to her bowl to pick up the kibbles... Nell runs over to my BF to distract him, and low and behold... Petey snatched up my chocolate covered donut. Don't believe the innocent picture everyone... he ate my half of the donut! Bad Petey... Bad!

Naughty Nell

I got the BT slippers my the rescue coordinator. (Thank you Mary!) Unfortunately... Nell thought those were for her. Notice the left slipper... It's missing a nose. I guess she felt she had some competition. Bad Nell... Bad Nell!

Potential Rescue

While we were in North Carolina, there was a BT that needed to be rescued. He was found near the military base, and the nice guy kept him for a little while on the base, but he figured he would get in trouble if he got caught. His dad happen to work my my BF's mom, and she was nice enough to let him know that I did rescue work. When I saw him, he was very beautiful, but little skinny. We arranged to keep in touch and if he could find a good home, that he should instead of having to endure a 7 hour drive up to VA to get adopted out. His name was Louis and if Nell got along with him... perhaps I would have kept him. Great news is that the gentleman found a new home for Louis, and even took him to the vet to get his shots...

Christmas recap...

Here is Nell and her cousin Suede on Christmas day. They were the elves that brought us the presents... I have a feeling Nell peeked while she delivered the presents... Good job Nell and Suede! You can rest up now that Christmas is over... You have 11 months and 26 days left until next Christmas. :-)

Nell is 2!

We celebrated a day late for Nell's 2nd Birthday. With all the traveling we did over the holidays, mommy can't get her act together. ;-) Bad mommy. Anyway, Nell is now a big girl. I baked a bundt cake and decided to give her a small slice. I couldn't find any cake candles, so I had to improvise... let me just state that if/when I have kids, he/she better be understanding about having a birthday near the holidays. (oops, I've digressed) I'm little behind on the gift portion, but package is coming from our favorite store, petedge.com. Nell loves the giggling toys, so I've gotten her several of those since the one I got for christmas was chewed up in 15 minutes. Bad doggie. Anyway, I'm hoping this year will be as good as it has been last year, and a healthy one. She's already used one trip to the emergency vet, so... she better be heathy. ;-)
